Beautifully Buoyant Defined:

Christianity is vast and massive and changing. Kind of like an ocean.

Where can we even begin to search out its meaning? How can we gain a better understanding of what being a Christian really is? How can the Church relate to and immerse itself in the world without being consumed by it? There are questions that seek answers.

And so, we have this blog. A search to better understand how Christianity can creatively relate to a creative world.

As culture changes, I believe that the church also needs to change in order to relate to the world that it has been sent into. But more than just this, I believe that the church should define the culture of the world, as opposed to the world providing definition for what the church is.

So, let this blog be a conversation of how God's creativity is outworked through us the Church. And let it provide examples of how Christianity can make God's grace known in creative, unheard of, culture defining ways, through the use of art, music, writing, preaching and community.

May we remain Beautifully Buoyant in the ocean of Christianity, marking out the direction for those who do not yet know it.
